Hi, I’m Amy Karas

I founded Refinery Strength Collective because I know what it feels like when your body doesn’t cooperate. After being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, I experienced firsthand the lack of fitness programs that truly understood my needs.

That journey led me to create strength training programs that prioritize compassion and strategy — helping women realize their bodies are capable of so much more than they think.

Strong Foundations is built on the belief that every woman deserves to feel strong, steady, and confident — no matter where she’s starting from.

What if I've never lifted weights before?
Perfect — this class is designed for you. Everything is taught step-by-step, and you'll be guided the entire time.
What if I have joint pain or old injuries?
All movements can be modified. The focus is on moving safely and building strength in a way that supports your body.
Will this be intense?
No. This is not a bootcamp. It's a supportive, slower-paced introduction to strength training.
What if I feel out of shape?
You are exactly who this class is for. We meet you where you are.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just comfortable clothes, supportive shoes, and a water bottle. Everything else is provided.
